The Mini 0805 will only read or write to SD cards that are formatted using the FAT32 format. However, Microsoft Windows imposes a limit of only 32 GB on any disk that is formatted using FAT 32. It is, with the right software, possible to format an SD card that has a capacity greater than 32 GB with the FAT32 format.
If you put an SD Card into the dash cam that has been formatted in a format other than FAT32 (most likely exFAT), the dash cam will blink the “no card” icon when powered-up and then, about 30 seconds later, the dashcam will turn off.
- Download and install EaseUS’ Partition Master Free (search around for the FREE version on their website) http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm
- Before running the software, ensure that you’ve connnected the SD Card to your computer via a card reader (or even by connecting the Mini 0805 itself via a USB cable)
